A fabulous and hard to find original vintage Gargoyle Mobiloils Vacuum Oil Company porcelain sign.
Sign is double sided and has the red gargoyle trade mark logo.
One side has some stains / spotting as shown in the photos; Looks like it may have been some type of acid which etched into the porcelain. Other side was less exposed and in better condition.
There are holes on the sides from bullets and chipping of the porcelain around the holes.
Sign measures 25 3/4" x 15 1/2" and weighs approximately 7 pounds 6 ounces.
These double sided Gargoyle Mobiloils porcelain signs are hard to come by and this one is in nicer condition than most we have seen.
A real treasure for the serious gas / oil advertising sign collector.

An antique wooden Star Egg Carrier box that comes with its original cardboard inserts for a dozen of eggs.
This wonderful old egg carrier has dovetail corner construction and measures 8 1/4" x 6 3/8" x 2 3/4" tall, has the metal handle and is printed on 3 sides.

Patent number on one of the long sides is 722.512 which would date to 1903.
Other long side is printed with Pascoag Cash Store with the street address and name of proprietor with the number 17.
A great farm primitive and country decorator piece that comes with the bristle brush chicken.
