| 4 EAPG Adams & Co. (Pittsburgh, Pa.) ruby stained berry bowls in the King's Crown pattern c. 1880. This pattern is also known as XLCR, Excelsior and Ruby Thumbprint. Bowls measure approximately 1 7/8" tall with a 4 5/8" top diameter. Top edge is scalloped / serrated and the bottom has a star design. Bowls have a couple of straw / mold marks and some very tiny scratches here and there on the ruby stain. One of the bowls has a tiny nick and a pin-hole size nick on the top of the scalloped edge. The ruby stain is strong, a nice deep color. 2 pounds 5 ounces | ||
