Fabulous late 19th century enamel table snuff box, in a wonderful shield-shaped silhouette. Lid featured two lovers lounging in a landscape; colors are blue and white. Box is probably French, and in the revival style of 18th century enamels, with facsimile of early mark. Very good condition; a few marks of rust; clasp is slightly loose. Measures approximately 3 ½” by 3 ¼”.
