Beautiful 15k hair and gold mourning ring, hallmarked for Chester, 1895. The heart-shaped shield is not engraved. Braided hair is set into the band and held in place by engraved gold spacers. Very good condition; just a slight loosening of the hair weave on one side of the heart. Size 7 ˝.
Unusual 19th century gold cased fob seal with a domed base fluted above a foliate and scrollwork border and a spiral reeded loop handle. The unusual amethyst matrix features two carved images: a bird in a basket and a gazelle in a crown. The amethyst appears to be a foiled glass stone. Matrix measures 5/8” by ˝”; 1” tall. Very good condition: some wear to gold casing.
A remarkable glass intaglio brooch, carved to depict the profile portrait of Augustus, within a gold twist rope border, signed “MARCHANT F” on the obverse. Nathaniel Marchant (1739 - 1816) was an English gem-engraver and medallist who won prizes from the London Society of Arts for his wonderful intaglios, many of which he copied from ancient reliefs and sculptures. Stunning Victorian micro mosaic cross consisting of six fine architectural mosaics set into a black glass cross, suspended by an 18ct gold mount and ring. Five of the mosaics measure just under 1/4"; the central panel measures just over 1/4". Great condition; no losses from the mosaics; a few chips to the edge of the glass cross. Measures 2" x 1 1/4".

An outstanding Georgian navette mourning ring, in sepia and watercolor on ivory, circa 1790. It features a pink-cheeked lady leaning on an anchor and gazing out at a ship at sea ? perhaps mourning a lover lost at sea, or merely a symbol (the anchor) of hope! The ring tests at 14-15 carat gold; a pretty rose gold with bright cut scalloped bezel. Inscribed ?FRBC? on the reverse. Very good condition: original crystal is scratched.
