A rare art nouveau diamond-shaped pendant set in 14k gold, depicting birds, flowers, a basket (and what look like musical instruments!), in white on a blue pate de verre glass. Pate de verre is an ancient technique in which glass is made by mixing powdered glass of different colors into molds. French nouveau artists revived the process toward the end of the 19th century. Good condition: some dirt and small cracks, but a great look. Measures 1 5/8” by 13/16”.
