Elegant Victorian blue enamel on sterling pin, depicting a lion holding a star. Reverse features a c clasp and is marked “sterling”. Good condition; some dirt and tiny scratches to enamel. Measures nearly an inch by 3/4”.

Fabulous Victorian brooch featuring classic period symbolism: the brooch comprises a beaten silver crescent set with an applied lizard, fly, snake owl and trumpet-playing cherub! The owl’s eyes are set with yellow glass eyes; the lizard’s eyes are red. Adorable and unusual. Great condition. Measures 1 ¾” wide.

A 19th century silver Austro-Hungarian brooch with bezel-set rubies, emeralds, red stones (I haven’t identified them!) and seed pearls, with blue, white, and green enamel decoration. The brooch has a fun, festive look, with an articulated drop suspended from the bow shaped body. Good condition; safety catch is an old replacement. Measures 2 5/8” by 2 3/8”.

Charming Victorian silver brooch depicting bird's nest with four eggs resting on a branch surrounded by ivy. Ivy often symbolizes undying affection; the eggs in the nest may indicate that this was a gift of love, possibly for a mother. The brooch is fully hallmarked for Birmingham, 1905; the maker’s mark is “J.H.” Measures 1 ½” by 1”. Condition is good; the back is a bit dinged. Clasp is probably an old replacement; two tiny pinholes from the original clasp are barely visible.

Lovely pair of lava cameo earrings set in sterling silver oval bezels. The cameos depict Greco-Roman profiles. Bezels are marked “sterling” on the reverse. Cameos are most likely Victorian, circa 1885; settings probably date from the 1920's. Excellent condition. Measure 1 1/4" by 1/2".
