Beautiful Georgian mourning brooch, in sepia and hair on ivory. Set in low-carat gold, the scene depicts a gentleman weeping at a tomb overhung by a willow, the symbol of mourning. The tomb’s dedication reads: “Weep not for me but for yourself”. The reverse is inscribed “Wm/Jackson/Obt 22 Dec./1787/aet 72”. Very good original condition. Measures 1” by 5/8”.

Set in 9k gold with a blue enamel border, the scene depicts two women in classical dress mourning at a tomb with an urn; one leans on an anchor, which may indicate that the mourned gent was a seafaring man, or may just be a symbol of hope or death. Victorian 12k gold love knot ring, circa 1880. This sweet ring has it all, the central lover’s knot is surmounted by a florette set with pearls and a garnet; it is flanked by an engraved heart on either side. Very good condition; dimple to back of band. Ring size 7.
Wonderful Georgian sentimental ring, featuring a citrine surrounded by seed pearls. The date “1816” is inscribed on the reverse of the head, the inside of the shank is inscribed “presented to E.
