Beautiful early Battersea enamel earrings, depicting cherubs conducting music with a baton. Each cherub is a little different; they’re in great condition. Rare pair of 18th century rings, mourning the deaths of a father and son. Both were John Cobdens; the son died first in 1778 at the age of 11. His ring features a sepia and hair on ivory picture depicting an urn and a willow tree. Great Georgian earrings are so hard to find. These are a stunning pair of gold earrings, circa 1840, when the fashion was for long and light. These earrings feature an elongated repousse drop in a floral motif, suspended from a similar surmount. Beautiful condition; at some point they were converted to gold posts. Measures 3”.

An incomparable Georgian mourning brooch depicting a shepherdess and a lamb, circa 1780. What make this brooch so remarkable are the three-dimensional construction, the unusual material, and the touching period symbolism. The shepherdess and lamb are composed of white molded paste, probably papier mache. Extraordinary Georgian rose gold mourning brooch, depicting a griffin and the initials “JP” in gold over a plaited bed of hair, surrounded by borders of blue enamel and tiny pearls.
