REGARD paste ring with central hair compartment, circa 1820. The large bright pastes spell out REGARD in the stones they simulate: Ruby, Emerald, Garnet, Amethyst, Ruby, Diamond. The 14k shank may be a bit later, but it’s very nicely carved. Condition is excellent. Size 6 ˝.
Georgian mourning brooch, enamel on 14k gold, with central glazed hair compartment. Brooch reads “In Memory Of” on the front in gold on black enamel. Reverse reads :”Peter Cadman/DIED/ 11th Oct. 1833/Aged 68”. Very good condition; some mold deposits on hair. Measures 1 1/4" by 1".
Beautiful sepia and hair on ivory brooch, set in 14k gold with half pearls, featuring a lady with two love birds, circa 1790. The imagery of the woman and birds suggests that it may have been a love token, instead of a mourning piece. Wonderful condition: lovely clean painting; glazed reverse with brown silk; one tiny pearl deficient. Measures 1 1/4" by 7/8".
A superb Georgian coral seven stone circular cluster ring, in 9K gold claw-setting with applied and engraved shoulders and plain shank. Fabulous condition; gorgeous ring! Size 5.
Handpainted portrait miniature on porcelain of a young girl holding a small dog, set in a gilt metal frame. Her dress and hair are typical of the Biedermeier period; she wears a red dress with white collar and a blue shawl, and her hair is styled around her ears. She stands next to an ivy-covered wall and before a background of trees and cloudy sky. Probably German. Measures 1.5 inches by 1.2 inches. Condition: very good.
