Charming 19th century British silver chatelaine, featuring three graduated mounts, pierced and cast with cherubs raising cups amid trailing grapevines. There are six chains, two with silver fobs, another with a pencil. The piece is fully marked: the clip is hallmarked for London, with a maker’s mark JR/SJ, and is inscribed “Thornhill New Bond Street SW” (Thornhill was a London retailer). Ornate 19th century Russian silver gilt chatelaine, with pierced scrolls, cherubs, heads and hands throughout. The hinged clip features a relief casting of an eagle, a cherub with cymbals riding on his back, set with a central pearl. Rare seventeenth century Stuart crystal, in the form of a stickpin. Stuart crystal jewelry came into fashion after the 1649 execution of King Charles (Stuart) I; his followers began to wear objects made of faceted, pink-foiled crystal containing his initials in gold, laid on a bed of hair or fabric. Fabulous antique silver brooch featuring the head of a dog (a spaniel, I think!) suspended by chains from a pretty bar pin. The dog is adorable and beautifully detailed; his nose is gilded! Great patina; some wear to reverse. Measures 3 1/2”; dog head is 1 3/4” in diameter.

Fabulous all original Georgian flat cut garnet luckenbooth, or witches heart, set in silver. A luckenbooth is a heart-shaped love token named after the Luckenbooths, or locked booths, where they were sold, in the Royal Mile near St. Giles Kirk in Edinburgh. The pins were exchanged by lovers at betrothal and later pinned to the first-born's shawl to protect it from evil spirits. Measures 3/4”.

Fabulous 19th century cut steel pendant earrings, always so hard to find. Cut steel jewelry was meant to simulate diamonds; the “stones” were faceted polished steel. Each “stone” had a post in the back which was inserted into a metal base to form a multitude of designs. Great all-original condition. Measure 2 3/8” from top of wire to bottom.
