A graceful French 19th century paste Saint Esprit (Holy Ghost) brooch, set in silver, featuring a dove with a branch in its beak. The brooch is composed of two parts; the bird is suspended from a delicate metalwork top. Very good condition; two pastes lacking. Measures 3 ¼” by 1 ¾”.

A phenomenal, early example of mourning hair work, featuring a landscape in blond and brown hair, set into a heart shaped silver brooch and surrounded by eighteen gorgeous table cut diamonds. Probably dating to 1780 (or possibly a little earlier) the scene is incredibly detailed, depicting an urn, tree, windmill, house and boat.
