Rare seventeenth century Stuart crystal, in the form of a stickpin. Stuart crystal jewelry came into fashion after the 1649 execution of King Charles (Stuart) I; his followers began to wear objects made of faceted, pink-foiled crystal containing his initials in gold, laid on a bed of hair or fabric. Fabulous all original Georgian flat cut garnet luckenbooth, or witches heart, set in silver. A luckenbooth is a heart-shaped love token named after the Luckenbooths, or locked booths, where they were sold, in the Royal Mile near St. Giles Kirk in Edinburgh. The pins were exchanged by lovers at betrothal and later pinned to the first-born's shawl to protect it from evil spirits. Measures 3/4”.

Fabulous 19th century cut steel pendant earrings, always so hard to find. Cut steel jewelry was meant to simulate diamonds; the “stones” were faceted polished steel. Each “stone” had a post in the back which was inserted into a metal base to form a multitude of designs. Great all-original condition. Measure 2 3/8” from top of wire to bottom.

Beautiful early 19th century watercolor mourning miniature set into a cut steel beaded buckle. The scene depicts a lady spreading flowers over a tomb. Some oxidation to white paint; water stain over her shoulders; and a split to buckle at nine o’clock. Paper backing. Measures 3 1/2” by 2 3/4”.

Rare Wedgwood and Bentley jasper cameo silver mounted ring, circa 1779, depicting a gentleman in profile. The oval pale blue medallion is layered with white between the black ground surface upon which the profile sits. The reverse is inscribed “Wedgwood x Bentley”, a mark used from 1769-1780, when Josiah Wedgwood partnered with Thomas Bentley to establish a factory named 'Etruria' for making ornamental wares. An interesting early 17th century silver cloak fastener, the opposing hooks with thistle, flowerhead and rope design, the plain central shield with engraved “wrigglework” a rudimentary decorative pattern consisting of engraved zigzag lines popular in England and the Netherlands and inscribed “E. ELCK/HAIT/IES D°/1604. Converted to a brooch in the 18th or 19th century. Measures 3 1/2” by 1 1/8
