A 19th century English portrait miniature in watercolor on ivory, set in a silver frame, with a hair reverse set with paste stones. The sitter is a lady with lovely red hair, wearing a white lace fichu, gold earrings and gold brooch. The reverse is spectacular: two gorgeous feathered curls of her deep red hair on white silk under glass, surrounded by a border of small paste stones. Measures 2 1/2 by 2 inches. Condition is excellent; one paste stone deficient.

Portrait miniature on ivory set in a 15K gold pierced brooch frame, circa the early 19th century. The sitter is a very stern lady, wearing a frilly white bonnet and ruff, and a black gown. The miniature is set in a 15K gold brooch with pierced floral frame and glazed reverse with braided brown hair. Frame measures 2 inches; sight size is 1 1/2 inches. Condition; very good; colors bright and fresh; slight water mark in background at 2 o'clock; some solder marks on frame.

A portrait miniature in enamel, French School, circa 1720. The sitter is an extremely beautiful lady with powdered hair, wearing a lace-trimmed black dress and red mantle. She is set in a silver frame with a brooch-clasp attachment and blue enamel reverse; measures 1 1/8 inches tall. Condition is very good: there are a few very narrow retouched scratches in the surface of the enamel at the sitter's neckline, together with a very minor chip on her neck.
