First class deco Whiting & Davis enamel mesh purse, circa the 1920’s. Great abstract pattern on orange and green on a cream background. But what really makes this purse special is its frame: a silvertone domed shape featuring a sort of repousse beaded area, bordered by flower and leaves. Two hang tags; twist link frame. Very good condition; a few links have the slightest wear; some wear to frame. Measures 6 ¼” by 4”.

Whiting & Davis Deco Dresden mesh purse with a beautifully enameled frame, circa the 1920’s. The Dresden mesh is softly colored in an abstract pattern of brown and green. A wonderful Whiting & Davis enamel mesh purse, circa 1920, with a fabulous enamel frame. Colors are very deco: orange, black and a hint of blue, against a white background. The frame is a wonderful leafy swirl of orange and blue. Condition is very good: slight fading of the already subtle blue; a few chips to the enamel frame; a few dropped links at one hinge. Measures 7 ½” by 5”.
