A rare deco silver mesh purse with mirror lid and beautiful cutout fringe, circa the 1920’s. The lid features a scrolling fernlike motif overlaid with a black enamel “grid” – so deco! Mesh is in fabulous condition; looks like the black enamel on the lid has been retouched. Measures 6 ½” by 3”; lid is just over 2” in diameter.

A delicately beautiful Whiting & Davis deco dresden mesh purse, circa the 1920’s. The purse is in mint condition (there’s just one dropped link under one hinge), from vibrant mesh, to goldtone frame, to twist link chain. The design is a lovely abstract swirl of warm blue, purple, pink and radiant yellow. Measures 4 ¾” by 3 ¼”; tiny-pointed fringe adds another inch.

An exceptional large Whiting and Davis fine dresden mesh purse, in mint condition, circa the 1920’s. The purse features a pastoral landscape with a church and trees. The coloration is a radiant spectrum of greens, yellows, oranges and black! From the variegated pointed fringe to the goldtone frame this purse is perfect, beautiful and rare! Snake chain; Whiting and Davis stamp on frame. Measures 6” by 5”. Fringe adds another 2 ¼”.

The most glorious silver mesh purse, circa 1920. Wonderful large size; tiers of beaded, tasseled and rosette fringe; shield shaped, levered frame. Frame marked “DR Patent Alpacca. Beautifully made, excellent condition. Measures 10 ¾” from clasp to fringe; 6” wide.
