| Gorgeous 19th century antique canvas work notebook, featuring a young man sitting in contemplation outside of a cottage; the reverse features a folly and fountain landscape. The silk needlework is bright and beautiful; each panel is edged in ribbon. Pink silk lining and pockets reveals faded writing underneath and two note tucked inside. One note is an index card inscribed “7/30/71 Mrs. Sinclair”. One is a period note – I can’t decipher the language! Pencil is missing. Very good condition; some light soiling. Measures 6 7/8” by 4”. | |||||||||||
