| Super early 19th century Continental portrait miniature in watercolor on ivory of a woman in an elaborate folk bonnet, possibly from Normandy. In addition to the towering lace bonnet, threaded with blue ribbon, she wears a lace fichu ad stunning, elaborate gold cross. Very good condition; a few dark spots to background on right side. Measures 2 1/2” in diameter. | ||||||
