| There aren’t enough adjectives to describe these unusual and beautiful earrings! Gold, gilt, enamel and pearl figural earrings, circa 1830, possibly Portuguese. Circular tops feature a gold floral figure laid on brilliant red enamel surrounded by pearls; the tear-shaped pendant drops feature a dog in gold on blue and red enamel, surrounded by wired pearls and topped with twisted gold wirework. Vibrant and delicate at the same time! Back-to-front wires are fully marked, but I can’t make then out. Measure 1 ¾”, not including wires. Good condition; one pearl may be missing; some of the wire is a bit out of shape. | ||||||||
