| Wonderful Victorian chatelaine with an art nouveau twist. From the scrolled art nouveau waist plaque, featuring loops in the back for a belt and a mark for “F. N. & Co”, hangs 5 appendages: 1) a thimble, beautifully etched with flowers and birds (unmarked); 2) a mechanical pencil (unmarked); 3) a gorgeous repousse frame mesh coin purse, with monogrammed pull tag, marked “Sterling”; 4) a sterling needle, lipstick or toothpick case (unmarked); and 5) a key or trinket holder with patent number. Some of these pieces are probably original; some were probably added at a later date. Good condition; some wear and tarnish to plaque. Measures 13” from plaque to purse bottom. | ||||||||
