| Rare mourning ring featuring fine table-work braided hair joined by a gold centerpiece depicting clasped hands, circa 1850-1860. A similar ring is displayed in C. Jeanenne Bell’s 1998 Collector’s Encyclopedia of Hairwork Jewelry. Piece is in mint condition. Initials on back appear to be “CL”. Size is approximately 10 1/2. | |||||||
