| What a great piece of early 20th century American history and handicraft: a purse commemorating Lindbergh’s milestone nonstop transatlantic flight in the Spirit of St. Louis, in 1921. The purse is fashioned out of cut steel beads and features a silhouette of the Spirit of St. Louis flying in a blue sky over a sun (with rays) rising over a blue ocean. Incredible! Floral frame is marked “Silver Plated”; lining is tan kid. The purse is very good condition, with just a few problems relating to its age: the bead work is a little faded and a little soiled, but not rusted; one piece of the full fringe is missing. A fabulous one-of-a-kind purse! Measures 8” from clasp to fringe by 5”. | ||||||||
