| Lovely antique beaded purse, featuring a pink castle and floral motif, circa 1820-1850. As is typical with these early purses, this piece features three design sections against a blue ground: the top is comprised of small posies; the middle, a large swathe of flowers, including roses and daisies; and the bottom, which depicts the pink castle. Original taupe silk header and lining with metallic thread drawstring. A few small areas of bead loss; some fringes missing; silk header and lining shattered in spots. Measures 8 ½” from header to fringe by 5”. | ||||||||
