| An utterly beautiful cream silk embroidered purse, or reticule, circa 1830. The shield shaped body is edged in pink and decorated with pink silk bows. The drawstrings are pink silk and green velvet, an echo of the pink embroidered flowers and green leaves. Beautiful, all original, and so delicate ? the silk is shattering in several areas and there?s one hole where the gauze lining shows through. But it?s such a great reminder of the beautiful needlework of the time. Measures 8 ?? by 9?. | ||||||||
