| A miniature portrait in watercolor on ivory of an elderly gentleman seated at a table, circa 1800-1820. The gent wears a brown coast and waistcoat, with a white cravat; he sits before a blue cloudy sky. Face is pale, but expressive. Very good condition. Set into a reddish-brown velvet-lined traveling case. Good condition; some dirt on the underside of the glass and a dark spot on the gilt colored mount. Measures 4 3/4” by 4”; sight size is 3 1/4” by 2 1/2”. | ||||||
