| I have never before seen a mesh purse like this one, and probably never will again! Rare, in mint condition, and beautifully made, it is the epitome of deco mesh design. It is an elegant, slim dance purse of the finest bi-colored bronze and silver mesh. Long and thin, it folds over a silver bar with blue cabochon terminals, the top flap serving as the only compartment, meant to hold a coin or a ticket. The chain handle is delicate, the silver mesh tassel full, and the body features an unusual openwork insert. Silver bar displays a maker’s mark which looks like a “W” with other marks over it. Measures 6 1/2” from bar to tip; fringe adds 1 3/4”. Flap measures 2 1/4”. | ||||||||
