| A stunning example of Regency sentimental jewelry and gold work, this gem-set basket pendant is decorated with appliquéd fruit and flowers. Beautifully crafted of two colors of gold, the pendant’s reverse features a piece of black silk under a glazed panel, suggesting it was created to commemorate the death of a loved one. The stones – a turquoise, a ruby, a pink or purple foiled stone, an emerald, and another foiled stone, may spell out a sentimental word, but I can’t decipher it! Rope twist handle.
