| Fabulous blue mid 19th century cameo, depicting the Cupid Vendor, after a fresco in Pompeii. The vendor is lifting a cupid from a cage, and offering the love token to her female customer. The cameo is a startling blue, probably a lava and composite mix. Beautiful beaded setting. Some dirt and chips to edges of cameo and losses to beading. Measures 1 5/8” by 1 1/2”. | |||||
