| Very unusual 19th C burl snuff box with hidden hinge, featuring a nun with rosary beads and prayer book kneeling before a cross. The cross and altar look vaguely Russian or Baltic. The scene was enameled at one time, but it has mostly worn off. Lined with tortoise shell or horn. Fabulous design; good condition. Measures 2 3/8" by 1 1/4". | ||||||
