A very rare, Eames Era, modernist hand painted and signed candy dish by Susie Cooper, (b Burslem, Staffs, Oct 29th 1902; d Douglas, Isle of Man, on July 28 1995). It measures 4.75" x 4.25" and 2" in hight. Very good vintage condition, no chips or cracks.-------------

Two Poole pottery platters, signed by the artist. There are 12.5" long and 4" wide. These are known as the 'cucumber' dishes that were made in the 1950's by the Head of Design, Alfred Read, a very famous potter. The cucumber shape was designed in 1953 and reflects the very "contemporary" style of the fifties. They were painted by Ruth Pavely, based on an early design of the 1930s.
