This nude by Wallace Bassford (1900 - ?), measures 12" x 9" in a frame measuring 16 1/4" x 13 1/2" (cm 31 x 23, 42 x 35), and is signed with a scrafitto/pencil signature in the lower right. It is done in the wistful, impressionistic pastels one expects from this artist. With the painting are two exhibition brochures from Palm Beach Galleries from whom it was purchased in 1966. This rather charming painting of (I think) a clarinetist measures 9 x 11 1/2" and is in a frame measuring 12 1/2 x 16". The surface appears to be quite dark (dirty) and could use a cleaning, but the surface is in very good condition. A fragment of the picture board with stationer's sticker is visible on the back, and since one can read "St Louis, I am guessing American, late 19th Century. Unsigned.
Measuring only 5 3/4" x 7 3/4", this painting on board of California Red Woods is signed on front and back by August Euler. Evidently, as the dedication on the reverse reads, "To Charles Frenkler,
