In brilliant blue, orange, yellow green and yellow, this faience elephant was made in France expressly for Tiffany and Company, I am guessing ca. 1970. It measures 16 1/2" in length, 9 1/2" in height, and 5" deep. It is in excellent condition, and can accommodate a floral arrangement in the square opening on the "howdah" on top. It is in excellent condition.

This stunning piece of hand-potted, and glazed signed Americana, is a lively interpretation of none other than the classic Uncle Sam. The glazes which are themselves spirited colors and applications lend a sophisticated finess to this handsome piece. Made of a yellow-terra cotta clay, the color of the biscuit bleeds through the glaze in a few spots. The face is serious and striking. The hat is over-brimmed with stars. Here we have two unusual floral arranging centerpiece frogs: two different ducks, perhaps a male and female mallard? They each measure approximately "6" long, and "6" high. Each is decorated in life-like color, in excellent condition and stamped "Made in Japan" -- Japan, c. 1950.

Standing 10 1/2" high, this male and female in deep aqua crackle glaze, are handsome Italian pottery chinoiserie figures made for the design import house of WONY in New York City. Although the base is marked "SB 55 WONY ITALY", similar figures were made by the potter Ugo Zaccagni, and Fantoni. As a bonus, each figure bears its original WoNY sticker. Having carved half-sails, and sailing on a foamy sea, is this diorama-like replica of the sailing ship "Marion Sprague". Written in pencil on the reverse is the inscription, "Marion W. Sprague built in Boston 1889, 748 ton" and then signed, "George A. Alden, 1941". The piece measures 12 1/2" long, 9" high, and 3 1/2" deep. In good, as found condition with a fine folk art, home-made flavor.

This painted orange and black tole tray measures 15" x 7" and stands approximately 1 1/2" high at the handles, which are made of wood. The design on the flat of the tray depicts polo players and ponies at play. The piece is in good, but used condition, and the painting is somewhat crazed. Recently acquired from a Virginia Hunt Country estate.

A very unusual Art Nouveau-style vase which has a blown glass body of mottled blue and red glass with silver overlay on the foot, shoulder and neck with stylized Art Nouveau flowers in high relief. It measures 8" in height. There are some "rough" bubble inclusions in the body of this blown piece, but no damage to the vase.

This Swiss wedding box, traditionally given as part of a bride's dowry, measures 9 1/2" high, 13" long, and 8 1/4" wide. The banded wooden box is decorated in dark umber with red, green, yellow and white folk flower decorations. It is in excellent condition.

This signed Danish Sterling Cohr 4" long infant feeder, is decorated with a child on a rocking horse. It has the curved over handle which makes this design so popular with the one who feeds the child. This handsome, heavy spoon has been used, but is in excellent condition. Denmark, c. 1960
