| These charming friars, arms interlocked and each holding a stein for matches, are one of the most attractive pieces of the genre of majolica I have seen. The piece measures 5 3/4" high, and 7 1/4" high. There are three small glaze chips, all but invisible; nothing major or detracting from the charm of the piece. It is German majolica, and dates from c. 1900. There are numbers on the base, but no maker mark. | |||||||
