| This wonderful find is a teapot-shaped water dropper, measuring 2 1/8" wide by 1 1/2" high. It was housed in a balsa lidded box, and comes complete with a Japanese antique dealer's sheet with pencil markings which identify it as Tokungawa Yoshimune Kyoho which dates it from 1716-1735. Also penciled in is "RURI IMARI". The item was bought in Yokohama in the 1950's and I have no reason to assume it is not as described by the dealer. It is in excellent condition. | |||||||||
