| This painted, cut out figure measures 9" tall and 3.5" wide. It is flat and mounted on a painted green stand. The label on the reverse says "Turkish Peasant Woman". A 1922 article in the New York Times mentions this workshop founded by Pantukoff which employed Russian emigres in Constantinople fleeing the Russian Revolution. Evidently these and similar items were sold to raise money for the desperate refugees. The original sticker is on the bottom of the stand of this figure. | ||||||
