| Rich, deep tones of lacquer accentuate the decorative quality of these two figures. The sage measures 8 1/2" high (21.5 cm) and the Guan Yin measures 8" (20.25 cm) in height. The rich chocolate brown and brick red are highlighted by metallic sashes on each. The sage is in excellent condition, while there is a repair on the hands of the Guan Yin. Each stands on a black lacquer base original to the pieces. China, c. 1900 is their likely date of manufacture. | |||||||||
