| This figure of a geisha, fancifully carved in bone, measures 8 3/4" in height, and is 3" in in diameter at the base. The face, hair and "fabric" detail on her kimono (see detail) are superior. This piece is carved out of several pieces all fastened together and then carved. The right hand of the geisha is carved as though it held something which is no longer there, while the left hand holds a red blossom. Really quite nicely done with a winsome look on her face.
