| I am offering here two of a group (approx 30) of amazing figures I acquired from a Pennsylvania estate. They are, no doubt, Chinese Export carved figures of largely European subjects (some exceptions to that) which were perhaps part of a large diorama, perhaps inspired by a European etching. This lot consists of a rather traditional Chinese horse, with inlaid eyes, and a markedly European figure who, like most of the figures, is in an attitude of adoration. The horse measures 3 1/4" wide and 2 5/8" high. The man with European hair do is 3 1/2" high. I have pictured all of the lots as well, although this auction is for the horse and man in the gallery photo. These two items are in excellent condition and have a patina indicative of Mid-Nineteenth Century production. Some time in the past, each figure has been taken from the larger display and affixed to a small stand. This is lot 5 of the group.Guaranteed antique and authentic, as always! | |||||||
