| Measuring 19 1/4"high, and 5" wide, this imposing, dramatic kwan yin is as handsome as any I have owned. The colors are bright, Kutani blues and greens, and the face, gold. Approximately 1/2 of the scroll has been broken, but otherwise the piece is in pristine condition. The feet are a bit flawed from a old firing experience in the kiln, but "feet of clay" and all that. Notwithstanding any evidence to the contrary, and very handsome, decorative and desirable piece. Japan, c. 1910. | ||||||||
