| A set of six gilt buttons, English and dating from c.1900, with, interestingly enough a head of Louis XIV. Each measures 1" in diameter, and is in excellent condition with only minimal wear. I acquired this with a lot of military buttons, but cannot immediately imagine why they bear the head of a French monarch, unless they were used on costumes of the period. | |||||
