| Tularosa classic black on white pitcher with dog handle.Ca. 1100-1250. ex. Tony Galligos collection, Hernandez, NM. 7 1/2" high with intricate zigzag design. Globular body with elongated neck. Figure of dog perched on shoulder of vessel with paws resting just below rim. Dog has checkerboard pattern on back and painted eyes. Some wear to paint, otherwise in excellent condition. Tularosa Black-on-white was the successor to Anasazi Mineral paint black-on-white types and was found in much of west-central, southwestern, and south-central New Mexico.
