This is a superb table lamp in the style of a classic Architectural Column. Apparently this was once a French Oil Lamp from the early to mid 1800's, that was converted into an electrified table lamp in the 1900's.
The top of the lamp bears the following French inscription:

This elegant French Louis XVI Gilt Wood Mirror (wide bevel) has exceptional carving with an exuberant high relief crest with arched and pierced floral motif. Large protruding feathers above a plumed helmet all flanked by flags and crossed quivers. This is a wonderful antique French Wrought Iron Marquise / Marquee. The gutters are topped with hand wrought iron scrolls and the front corners each have a twisted upright spire. The glass channels are in very good condition and can easily be cleaned, ready for new glass panels. This superb Henry II style Fireplace Mantle with Over Mirror has just arrived from France. Made of Walnut this beautiful two piece fireplace with its carved columns and moldings would make an architectural statement in any room.
