This is an authentic Movie Theater Backdrop or Curtain from the mid 1900's. Just like the old Vaudeville Backdrops, this large canvas banner features advertising from the local retail merchants. Extremely well painted this piece was produced by Grosh & Company in Hollywood California. The ornate gold frames around each of the merchants signs looks very realistic, almost 3D.
