This is a splendid Still Life painting on a copper plate. The colors and quality of detail are marvelous. The elegant Venetian style wine glass and ornate silver tray are quite lovely. Their is no signature and I'm unsure as to its actual age. It could be 18th or early 19th century. It has the appearance of being Dutch, but you'll have to be the judge.

This evocative and obscure painting of a Dutch or German landscape, depicts a road rounding a curve with a large Windmill atop a ridge. The colors are dark and very rich in tone. Painted on canvas, this European work is done in the Impasto style, which only adds to the striking beauty of the piece.
