| This beautiful Louis XV style walnut Fauteuil is from the late 19th century and is very nicely carved. The elegant French look and style, shows with the sinuous shape of the carved arms as they flow down to the cabriolet legs and scroll feet. The finish appears to be original and has a warm mellow color with slight highlights from normal wear. It does need reupholstering as you can see, but still maintains its original springs and webbing, all in very good condition. The quality in construction shows and it is structurally very sound. It has the occasional scratches and little dings that go with a hundred year old piece, all of which ads to the charm and patina of this wonderful arm chair. 36.5"H x 25"W x 28"D with the seat being 20"D. | ||||||||||
