| This evocative and obscure painting of a Dutch or German landscape, depicts a road rounding a curve with a large Windmill atop a ridge. The colors are dark and very rich in tone. Painted on canvas, this European work is done in the Impasto style, which only adds to the striking beauty of the piece. I can't explain it, but this artist work captures your eye and you have to stop and look closer. This 20th century painting is in excellent condition and is framed in a gold gilt frame with an ivory colored wood bevel molding. The frame itself is structurally sound, but has some minor losses of gilding and one small hole on the left side and one on the bottom of the frame.
