AUTUMN STREAM by A. B. Jefferys (Amer. 1892-1970)
This lovely landscape painting has a serene feeling with its soft almost pastel colors. The O/C painting is signed and dated 1931 in the lower left side. This was most likely a setting in and around the Tyler, Texas area, as Jefferys was well known for his East Texas Landscapes. The painting is in very nice condition as is the period frame that appears to be original. Born in Hillsboro Texas, Jefferys was primarily self taught, although he did study briefly with artist W.
