Gothic Wall Cabinet with Ornate Hardware, circa 1860 This glorious Gothic hand carved cabinet is superbly made in every detail. The first thing you notice is the ornate iron hinges that look like tree limbs with leaves. The doors themselves are intricately carved with a flowing banner or ribbon design. Yes there's even a little lock to keep the inside secure. Once the doors open you'll see the columns supporting a beautiful Gothic arch with meticulously carved fretwork with open quatrefoil design. The inside contained a light, which still has the old European wiring and plug. The lower molding on the outside is made to look like a shelf with two support brackets. Surprise...it's a hidden drawer for that something special. There was some prior restoration and the spire has some minor losses.
