This is an actual working vintage Steam Engine with its original working table base. This is a single cylinder, horizontally mounted engine with a 9.25" diameter flywheel. Found in France, we believe this to be a steam engine used to operate a small machine. There are no markings or serial numbers, so we do not think it was a Patent Model or a Salesman's Sample.
What makes this working model even better is its original table mounted base. The tabletop and the stretcher are made of Oak and the two large supports are made of Cast Iron. This really has a great Industrial look and would make a nice display or gift for a person who like scientific instruments and gadgets.
