| A phenomenal, museum quality set of matching archaic bronzes, possibly a bracelet or buckle set. Bactrian (Afghanistan, circa 2nd - 3rd century B.C.), this wonderfully patinated set featuring a stylized fish is a wonderful contribution to the Gudai experiment, and comes to us from Richard Nable of Priceless Past. Strung from two pairs of hand woven Kumihimo cords, the three bronze elements are joined using smaller cords woven in the same pattern as the necklace. Cords are courtesy of Jan Prichard Cohen. Measurements: the bronzes, as joined, measure approximately 11 x 7.4 cm (4.25"x2.8"); the joined length of the outer pair of cords is approximately 61cm (24") not including the bronze element. Feel free to request additional photos. All antique, ancient, or archaic metallic elements have been authenticated, conserved, and protected so that they may be worn without fear of causing harm. For questions regarding authenticity, conservation, cleaning, etc. please refer to the FAQ page or contact me by email or phone. | ||
