This antique Chinese textile is an unmade and uncut Kossu / Kesi woven makua jacket, woven with roundel patterns of fish and auspicious symbols. The original yellow edge is integrated to the jacket. It has yellow silk lining, the imperial color, very unusual. 19th Century

Beautiful Wild Goose, 4th Rank, Male badge from the Ch'ing Dynasty. It Is embroidered with gold and silver metallic threads in an extremely fine petit point stitch. The bird and sun are integral to the piece. The silk backing has degraded (see picture). It is a very fine quality badge with some water damage. In perfect condition, it would be worth $1000 - $2000. This badge would have been worn an imperial official on the back of the Pufu robe.

This PAIR of Silver Pheasant, 5th Rank, female badges is embroidered with silk brick stitch and couched metallic threads on black silk gauze. It is unusual because the sky and symbols are the same color. The only symbols, expect for the lotus and coral are the wan symbol and bats. The bird and sun are integral to the badges. This is a beautiful temple hanging showing two Taoist Immortals. It is finely embroidered in silk satin stitch with couched gold metallic wrapped thread and black twisted cord details. It is a very nice example of this style. Ch’ing Dynasty, circa 1850.
